There is only one way to fight homelessness: give people land.
Want proof? Well, this puff piece article from The LA Slimes (traitors, cowards, fascists) shows what the other options are, and they are not options for homeless people at all. They are bullshit and just a reason to steal from the poor. Let’s go over it.

Let’s start with the headline. Total lie. Homeless housing is not addressed by this featured tech-hole.

Seven heavy weights in the world of homeless housing? How does one say that with a straight face in LA? If there was any weight to their organizations, homelessness would not be rampant. Do they mean they have a lot of money? Well that’s very nice for them. If only they had a mission or a cause they could spend it on…

212 affordable units? Sounds good! Or better than 0. I’d kind of like all housing to be affordable. It’s an odd thing to say “I develop lots of unaffordable housing.” I’d think even rich people would say, “Well, hey!” But they like that stuff because it makes them feel smart to give all of their money to a landlord. But I digress.

Oh, I see. The most important thing is making money for the developers. I like how he just comes right out and says, “Psst…this isn’t actually about helping people! Hehehe..”

Oh, they’re getting in on student housing, too. Okay…I have yet to see anything about affordable housing for the homeless, though…

Okay, finally we’re getting into cost. We spent way too long talking about how clever this guy is and how rich he will make his friends. Now what will he provide for the HOMELESS, and how much will it cost?

So you get to pay $2000 a month to live next to the airport? And should consider yourself lucky you don’t pay 40% more?
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
The apartment I am currently being evicted from is 1800 per month. It is almost double what I paid in my last place. And now the affordable housing is STARTING at $2000 per month?
We need a fucking rent strike.
But let’s go on.

There is only one way to have guaranteed affordability: Give people their homes and land.
Yes, you will have to give it away.
Temporary housing is temporary. Permanent housing is permanent. And if you don’t own the land it isn’t permanent. The end. Period. Final.
And those are the “good guys” in this story. The slow, ineffectual good guys who do not trust poor people, and want to help through control, and not relief.

Oh, hey! This guy “helping” the homeless (out of $2k per month) is also “helping” homeowners trade in their houses for shitty multiplexes, so they don’t have to live the way they originally chose, anymore!
Homeowners and homeless alike are just going to LOVE IT.
We will not stand for this shit, anymore.
I’m done. I’m so fucking done. Im so fucking done with these evil bullshitters. Adam Miller has a tremendous amount of nerve putting his picture out there and declaring himself any kind of friend to the poor.
But we are not falling for it anymore. We know the only way we get past this is to give the land back to the people.

Here at SmutMag, we’re already underway solving this chick’s housing problem: your purchase of bones has gotten me a small plot of land, which every day I’m working to get ready for me. It’s going to take a lot, but when it’s done, it’s done. The land will take some years to pay off, but the payments are less than $500 per month–less than a fourth of what Adam Miller thinks is “affordable.” The living will be rough at first, but every bit of money that goes into making it more liveable will be a permanent upgrade. When we fund solar power, that is power forever. When I lay a foundation, that foundation will stay put. My family and I will stay put. And we will build generational wealth that can be passed on. My home will be passed on to another artist.
The only barriers to creating homes for the unhoused is our own snobbery and superiority, and our own complete and total fucking greed.
But you can’t take it with you. The profits mean nothing–NOTHING- if there is no wealth or stability. Stabilizing our society is the profit. Alleviating rampant despair is the profit. More people being stable means more resources for everyone!
Because, contrary to what the upper classes have been taught and spread around, the poor also have a wealth of resources within them that can benefit their communities, too –but not when they are constantly being made to fight for their lives against people who are saying they are here to help them.
My next mission after “Process” is to produce other solo artists, partner with a sales team, and use a quarter of the profits to start a land fund for participants.
This is a project that is small, but very scalable. It provides income from the work and a savings for the future in the form of land.

My favorite thing about it is that it leaves little room for corruption. With every collaboration an even split, it’s very easy to see if I am cheating people or not doing what I promised. Any artist who works with me can use their own payout and the number of productions we do to see how much money should be in the land fund.
Things like this shouldn’t be mysterious. They should be direct and obvious.
“Process” explores the fear and dread we all feel right now. And it also moves us through the process of finding your strength when you’re alone in the dark –and how artists help us through.
I want us to be the land of the free and the home of the brave again. For that we need land. And home. And to find our bravery.
Then we will be free.
Truthful arts, land for the people, catharsis for the people to alleviate despair.
Get your bones to purchase tickets to Process, shop our gift shop, and support the things that REALLY stabilize and support our democracy: art, land, and the bravery to speak the truth.
Process: A Digital Cabaret is now playing.
