Introducing: SmutMag Radio

Ecclectic Hits. Erotic Bits. Erratic Fits.

You get the jist.

SmutMag Radio is truly about the light and dark, the agony and ecstasy, high and low art, sandwiched together to give you something complete, whole, and compelling every hour of the day. Whether you’re enjoying a playlist of the greatest hits in pop, rock, folk, new wave, keeping an ear out for new music, delving deep into new subjects and challenging opinion pieces, or waiting until after dark to hear erotic audios from seasoned audio artists, SmutMag Radio is committed to creating surprising, titillating, thoughtful content that celebrates the spoken word and the human experience.

Excellence by Day

From 4am to 10pm PST, you can spend all day listening to great artists and bands like Morphine, Annie Lennox, Benjamin Clementine, Noisettes, Seal, Father John Misty and more. Every artist on SmutMag Radio is chosen with the aim of giving you a full and fulfilling listening experience.

In between the music, you’ll be treated to off-the-cuff think pieces, tidbits, tips, and personal essays in our talk radio segments.

In “The Rabbit Hole” we do a deep Wikipedia dive on subjects most of us don’t know much about but should. This week we focus on Opus Dei, their historical roots in fascism, the methods that help them spread, and their connections to the current administration. We only touch the surface as we discover together what Opus Dei is all about. Come, and let us stumble stupidly into this creepy part of the Catholic Church!

In “Rants and Rambles,” we consider arguments presented as fact and whether there isn’t more to it. This week’s episode is, “A Dominatrix Talks Pretty Privilege.”

Throughout it all is short form content that keeps us connected.

Millennials, music lovers, debate enthusiasts and anyone attempting to take in media more thoughtfully now have a home for great programming that is never attempting to hunt you, surveil you or overthrow democracy. What a treat!

SmutMag Radio is also my official home (duh), so cabarets, poetry readings, dramas, album drops will always be premiered on SmutMag Radio.

But all of this only gets better with your participation. Want to sponsor an album, a program, or even produce your own program on our station? Go to the “Get Involved” link to get on our station!

Ecstasy by night

(Yes, I did.)

After 10pm, we keep the hits coming, with a slightly cheeky bent. Artists like P.E.A.C.H.E.S., Usher, Violent Femmes, Donna Summer and more hold down the fort and ground you between bouts of erotic passion in titillating audio form!

We don’t get too hardcore–we’re more interested in the tease. But if you are looking to hear the “Stunning Conclusions” of the audios that get you going, just check out our After Dark section. There, you’ll find exclusive erotic audios that go ALL THE WAY.

You can even produce your own fantasies on the air! Go to the After Dark tab, and you’ll find many options.

Transformation

Why do erotica at all? Why not just let the great tunes and talk stand on their own?

You fools! Life is not so black and white as all that. Get that conventional thinking out of your head!

At SmutMag.Art, we may be all over the place, but that’s because we’re dedicated to one specific idea: That humanity doesn’t fit in a box. We believe that keeping these things compartmentalized is part of our truly fucked up porn culture.

As a career phone dominatrix, I know that there are better ways to get your jollies. And if not SmutMag to guide you, who?

SmutMag.Art maintains that there are no bad words, only some times and places that are more appropriate than others.

Radio gives us the ability to ensure our content is hitting you in the appropriate time and place, and not when it happens to find its way to your feed…like when you’re at work.

It also gives you the opportunity to sit back and listen, or simply turn it off. But instead of frantically searching for things that don’t fulfill you, you’re finally in a position to enjoy the surprise of beautiful eroticism finding you, allowing you to appreciate it for what it is in the moment.

This is the way sex should be enjoyed. And we can’t afford a porn culture that is owned and curated by the tech companies who depend on you being sexually frustrated, isolated, and filled with self loathing.

As a dominatrix, I may get rough with you. But the experience is always for you, and with a safe and easy exit just in case.

We’re free to experiment at night, because we know things will return to normal in the morning. We are interested in portraying the transformation from our daytime to night time selves. The Endless Scroll is for finding endless voices. SmutMag Radio is about showing that each individual voice is endless. It’s worth it to go deep with someone.

Get Involved

We’re just getting started, and we’re excited to build this station with you! There are many ways to get involved. If you are an audio artists of any kind–a talker, a musician, a comedian, a phone sex operator–we are looking for your short form content! We are non-exclusive and happy to give you a space to show what you’ve got and tell people where to get more!

And for those without MP3’s you’re trying to hawk, you can sponsor a song, sponsor an album, sponsor a program, produce your own, advertise your business, or even have us create radio promotions for you.

And, of course, telling everyone you know about SmutMag Radio is the best way to volunteer!

Get Your Bones

Bones are SmutMag.Art’s version of store credit, and it’s how you buy everything we have to offer, whether it’s sponsoring some radio time, ordering a commission, getting tickets to exclusive shows, buying a handmade items and more.

We’re committed to finding better ways to fund the arts, and Bones allows us to continuously fund the day to day operations, without having to become a slop-product factory to continuously have something new to sell. We sell one thing. It’s Bones. And when you invest in Bones, you build yourself an arts and crafts savings account for the good stuff that takes time.
