I have been driven out of every apartment my whole life by ever climbing rent, and the same thing is happening now. But this time, all the resources I need to build something of my own are lining up in front of me for less than what it would cost to start a new lease and rent for a couple of months.

I am working hard to create something sustainable, so I can finally put to bed the constant upheaval, and create art with no corporate interest, no algorithm–just respect for my audience and something urgent that needs to be said. There can never be anything but fascism until we have the option to build something of our own, so we can tell the truth from our own perspectives–until we can operate without a lord or master. And at nearly $2,000 per month, rent becomes bondage. This is untenable. And it KILLS the arts. Kills them dead.

I am on a mission, and I’m at the do or die moment. I know that I will either in this moment escape the rent trap and continue doing my work, or I will be on the street. This is not a time to have to rely on the system to see me or my work through. It’s time for me to be settled, so I can take everything I’ve learned about making art and sustaining without money, and use it to help my community weather the shit show to come. And hopefully beyond. And it’s possible with your help.

I have a push goal of $10,000. That is really all I need to get land, a trailer, a tow, a storage space and permits to begin building and planning. It’s the amount that prevents homelessness.
