Smutmag radio

the essential missing piece

You’ll notice on the homepage menu, there is no a link to something called SmutMag Radio. Go ahead and give it a click!

I couldn’t be more excited about the next major project to come out of SmutMag, to tie this whole enterprise together. SmutMag Radio is now the home of all live performances and recorded audio, enabling me to have a single venue online to launch all of my work, whether it be music, works read aloud, plays, think pieces, cultural commentary, reviews or anything else I might dream up.

This week is extraordinarily soft open. Which means I’m just uploading as much pre-existing and new content onto it as I can and fiddling with the arrangement. But I’ve got the thing on autopilot, so currently you’ll find my catalog of music playing while I fill out content.

But you’re going to want to get into the habit of tuning in to SmutMag Radio!

And stay tuned for a new podcast about what lead me here! But for a little tidbit to get you in the mood: A bear ate my shed, and my boss demoted me to a trainee for not refilling the windex.

It’s a story. And you can hear it all on the SmutMag Podcast, which will be hosted on SmutMag Radio. (I’ll also post it here when it’s done. Soon).

This is a crucial piece of my dream for independent artists. We are taking submissions–so if you have a song or other audio piece, you want in the rotation, please submit it here!

By day, SmutMag Radio is a rock and grit driven mix of music and talk format, covering everything from what’s new in music, the state of the arts, cultural critique, off grid living, the state of democracy and more–but always with an eye towards uplifting and celebrating the human experience.

And for those looking for the nitty gritty underground, stay tuned to SmutMag Radio after dark, where you’ll find the finest spoken word erotica in radio, as well as experimental work with darker themes.

Things are moving along at a fast clip, getting the housing and structures in place on my land to create housing that can sustain artists, independently. But now SmutMag is taking the next steps in creating the media outlets that house the work.

And I can’t do it without your support. This is truly an excellent time to get Bones. On the way, there are all kinds of work you’ll want to be able to get as soon as it comes out: Erotica Spoken Word Albums, Poetry, Zines, Albums, Exclusive Shows, Merch and more.

Not to mention, with SmutMag Radio, you have the opportunity to produce shows you want to see, or sponsor shows you want to support while promoting your business. There are so many ways to use Bones–they’re just like store credit for anything SmutMag could possibly do for you–even ones we haven’t thought of yet! That’s why we’re proud to offer commissioned work.

And your purchase of Bones also make it possible to take on what comes next. The new shed is about halfway finished, but there are still crucial materials to get, like siding. The kitties and I are every closer to safety, but we’re not out of the woods yet!

And it will also give us a solid chance to build something great with SmutMag Radio. We’re building infrastructure that will only continue to support artists more as it grows. I can’t do this without you, and I will never stop being grateful for what has already been achieved.

Now I can’t wait to give you back something spectacular.

Get your Bones!
